History: Sacramento was a charter member of the PCL in 1903, but after struggling, this first team moved to Tacoma, WA in 1904. The better-known Sacramento team joined the league in 1918, and was known early on as the Senators. Brach Rickey purchased the club in 1935 and re-named them the Solons. Pennants followed in 1938 and 1939. Home games were played at Edmonds Field. Sacramento moved to Honolulu in 1961 and became the Hawaii Islanders.
